make sure you follow the instructions carefully.
Canon Pixma MX490 Wireless Setup for the Windows
- Connect your printer to the computer using the USB cable. Once you connect it, Windows will recognize the device and install for you.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click on the ‘Start’ button present on your desktop. Go to the ‘Control Panel’ of your system. Find the ‘Hardware and Sound’ section and click on that section. Find the ‘device and printer’ option and click on it.
- Choose ‘Add a printer’ option and go to the ‘Local printer’.
- Find and select the port from where your printer is connected to your system.

- Tap on the next.

Your printer must be turned off. Disconnect the cable is connected to your MAC device and turn off the device. - Find the ‘Support and Driver’ section on the website. The section is usually present at the top.
- Find and select the ‘Consumer and Home Office’ option from the Product Type list.
- Choose ‘ Printers’ from product family list.
- Choose the ‘Drivers and Software’ option.
- Locate the drop-down menu and select your MAC OS version.
- Download the drivers.
- Double click on the file you have downloaded and double click on the file again showing on the new window.
- Choose ‘Continue’ option. Click on the ‘Install’ option to add the printer on your MAC device.
- Connect the printer to MAC through USB cable and turn on the printer. Your printer is ready to use.
