How to Complete the Canon Pixma printer wireless setup without CD?



There are certain guidelines you need to follow to complete the Canon Pixma Printer Setup without CD. The guidelines are easy to follow, but make sure you follow all the steps in the sequence. Once the wrong instructions can turn into the failure of the entire setup process. 

The easiest way to complete the Canon Printer Wireless Setup is WPS Connection Method. Before we begin with the setup process, you need to check certain conditions that must be met to use the WPS connectivity: 

There must be a Physical WPS Push button for the access point. You can follow the user guide to know in detail. The network must have WPA ( WiFi Protected Access) or WPA 2 Security protocol. Most of the WPS enabled access points to follow this protocol. 

Here are the steps to follow: 

  • Check and make sure your Canon Printer is turned on. 
  • When the printer is on, the Power LED will fly. 
  • Press and Hold the maintenance button on your printer for 5 seconds. The LED must flash. 
  • Press (Fit to page) button on your device. 
  • Press the WPS button for about two minutes. 
  • The Blue LEd on your printer will start flashing while looking for the access point to connect. 
  • The wifi connection is complete and LED lights will lit for three seconds. 

 If the error appears when Canon Pixma printer wireless setup without cd is not complete within the two minutes after your press WPS button, then check and make sure that the access point is turned on. If it is turned on, try to turn it back off and then on again. The problem usually occurs when multiple access points are detected. So, wait for a while and reconfigure the settings. In case of multiple access points, hit the WPS button on a single access point. 


Network Setting Confirmation 
To make sure your device setup is successfully completed, print the network setting of your Canon printer. 

  • Your printer must be turned on. 
  • Load A4 size sheet in printer, 
  • Press the Maintenance button repeatedly until you see the LED lights. 
  •  
  • Press the‘ Color’ and ‘Black’ button. 
  • Check the Link Status, it must be active and SSID must show the correct wireless network name.
