How to Connect Canon MG2900 to Wi-Fi?

Steps to Connect Canon MG2900 Printer to the Wi-Fi

  1. Firstly, you need to press and hold the Wi-Fi button on your Canon printer,  change the connection mode.
  2.  Press and hold the Wi-Fi button until you see the alarm lights blinking.
  3.  Depending upon the process, the ‘Link Mode’ gets altered. 
  4.  Unlock the Wi-Fi button after UC light plastic for the third time.
  5. Now, you need to find the SSID and Network Key to connect the printer to the Wi-Fi network.  Note down the details.
  6. Now, Connect your printer using the WPS method.  Press and hold the Wi-Fi and Alarm button on your Canon printer,  until you see that the  Wi-Fi button is all set to communicate with WPS.
  7.  Within 2 minutes,  you will see that Wi-Fi and ON Lamp starts to flash. 
  8.  Your Wi-Fi setup is complete.

Things you need to cover

You have to check and make sure that  Ink cartridges are installed properly.  There must be a paper loaded in the input array.  Install the latest version of Canon printer drivers for your device from the Canon official website.  You can complete the installation process by following the prompt appearing on the screen.

There are two main methods to establish a successful Wi-Fi connection;  WPS has a Standard method.  In the WPS process,  you have to press the Wi-Fi button on the printer for a long time.  Wait until the alarm light starts the flash.  The printer must be placed closer to the router.  Press the WPS button within two minutes and the blue Wi-Fi light will start to flash.  After that, you need to confirm the network settings.

Turn on the printer and load a plain paper. Press and Hold the 'Resume and Cancel’ button together, Release the button once you see that Alarm Light flashes 15 times.  Take a printout of the network information page.  Visit the Canon manufacturer website and download the driver and software for your printer.

You can connect Canon Printer and Computer using the Wireless Direct feature of Canon. Make sure you place the printer and computer closer to each other.  Change the LAN settings of your printer, press and hold the Wi-Fi button and once you see the Wi-Fi lamp flashing, release button. Press the 'Black’ button until you see that ON Lamp is flashing and Wi-Fi  Lamp lights are On. Now, press the 'Color and Black’ button to complete the process.

To use the Wireless LAN, you have to change the Printer Settings. For that,  Press and Hold the Wi-Fi button and release the button when Wi-Fi light flashes.
