Are You Unable To Verify the Printer on your Network? Here is what you need to do:



Are you unable to connect to 192.168.1.1 because of an error? Or Unable to verify the printer on your network?  There are chances that printer services are struggling to use is not directly connected to your system or possible connection to some other device present over the network.  Usually, there is no problem with the network printer setup as you can easily print the document over the network using a printer connected to it. 


But, it is important for you to know that for using the printer services on the network, the system to which your printer is directly connected should run all the time.  You cannot use the printer to print documents if your computer to which it is connected is offline or turned off. 

Thus, the first thing you have to do is to check if your system to which your printer is connected is turned on and connected over the network. Go to the PC to which you have connected the printer and try to print the test page.  You must be able to do the test printing. 

After this, you have to share your printer over the network. If you are using a Mac device, you need to click on ‘Apple’ menu and choose the ‘System preferences’ option. After that, click on the ‘print and scan’ option. 

Here are certain steps you can consider to fix this problem:

  • To add a printer, you have to click on the ‘+’ sign present on the lest panel. 
  • On the next screen appearing, you need to right-click on the toolbar present at the top and choose the ‘Customise Toolbar’ option. 
  • Drag ‘Advanced’ icon present to the right of your WIndows icon and after that, click on the ‘Done’ option to close it. Hit the ‘Advanced’ option.
  • In ‘Type DropDown’ menu, you have to choose the ‘Windows printer via spools’ option. 
  • After this, in URL box, type server and share your printer name using the “smb://Server/ShareName” format. 
  • Mention your printer name and location. 
  • In ‘Print using Drop down’ menu, choose your printer software. Just make sure that you have chosen the correct software for your printing device as software plays the very important role in printer functioning. 
  • Once you have chosen the correct printer software for your device, you need to click on the ‘Ok, Add’ button, and then ‘OK’ and you are done with the process. When you try using it, you will be asked for the printer verification, all you need is to enter the administrator username and password to proceed further. 

So, these are some simple steps that can help you to fix the printer verification issue over the network. Follow these steps and troubleshoot the problem without any hassle.
