How to troubleshoot Printer Access Denied Windows 10 problem?




There are always chances that your Printer Access Denied Windows 10 error occurs when you try to share your printer over the network. This error may occur if you have entered the wrong administrator login credentials and the file and printer sharing services are not installed on your computer. File and Printer Share Installation

  • Click ‘Change Adapter Settings’, after that, ‘Right Click LAN’. choose ‘Properties’ and select ‘Microsoft Networks File’ and Printer Sharing’. 
  • Click on the Install option and choose Service if you are unable to find the option. 
  • Click ‘Add’, choose ‘File and Printer’ sharing option. 
  •  Click on the OK button pops up in the dialogue box to install a Windows service and close. 
  • Restart your computer and complete the installation ( if prompted). 

Ensure the Printer Connections 
  • The ‘Device and Printers’ folder manages the list of printers installed on the Windows 10 PC. 
  • Go to the Control Panel. Press and hold the ‘Windows + R’ key to see the dialog box. Find the Devices and Printers option to open/ 
  • The list will show the icon of your printer. If you are unable to see it, check and make sure that there is a correct USB interface with the computer. 
  • Connect your printer to the computer and install the ‘Drivers and Software’ using a CD. Or, you can download the drivers and software from the manufacturer website. 

 Configure Printer for Network Sharing 
 If you have previously configured your printer to be shared on the network. Follow the given guidelines to change and control sharing status. 
  • Right-click on your printer icon present in the ‘Devices and Printers’ section. After that, choose Properties. 
  • Start sharing and also ensure that you choose ‘share this printer checkbox’ for enabling network sharing. Tap on the Ok button. 

Connect the shared printer 
  • Once you have shared the network printer, you need to connect it to the other network system. 
  • Click ‘ Add Printer’. 
  • Select ‘Add a Network Printer’ follow the prompt to install the shared printer on the screen. 
  • Click on the ‘Add Printer’ option.
